At Central, we are always looking to use new technologies to enhance the learning experiences of our children and that means we have to be aware of the safety and security issues.
E-safety is a wide-ranging issue which, to be effective, relies on the involvement of all concerned:
- Local Education Authority
- Governors
- Headteacher
- Staff
- Pupils
- Parents and carers
We have a designated E-Safety Co-ordinator who has received training on E-Safety from the Local Education Authority. We also have an up to date E-Safety policy and Internet Acceptable Use Policy for staff and pupils, along with Pupil Internet Rules. These policies are reviewed annually and agreed by the Governors. They can be viewed by following these links:
The internet is a fantastic resource if used properly and it’s our responsibility to teach our children to use it safely and responsibly.
