Central is in a partnership of five schools which formed a Hard Federation with a single governing body across the schools. However, this meant that we had a group of governors who had a grasp of the big picture of the Hard Federation and its future but were remote from the day to day life of each individual school.
These issues have been dealt with by creating a new body for each school - the Schools Advisory Group (SAG). Each school now has a group of governors, with significant powers, to get close to the work of the school and able to make a direct contribution to each school’s life, aspirations and development.
